Hi, I recently bought a ssd for my laptop hp and installed Windows 10 on it. Then I received a request to update the OS to a newer version. During that process, there were a energy shut down and after turning The laptop back on again I received the error code 0xc000000e.

  2. Windows 10 Won't Boot Error Code 0xc00000e9

Ways to Fix Error Code 0xc00000e in Windows 10 which generally occurs during the boot phase of the device by using four different workarounds.

I read everywhere that I can solve it by booting from the USB Bootable OS again. The problem is that f8 is not working. I can see the blue dark screen and an instruction to press F8 to troubleshoot. But everytime I press it the blue screen just flash in/out and nothing happens. It does not respond with any button. So I can not access to the troubleshooting options (restore, command prompt etc).

The bios is correctly set up. Something I did and might have triggered this condition (f8 not responding) is that I formatted the ssd after the first time I saw the error code 0xc000000e, so there is no OS inside.

How can I use the system restore option is there is no system ( cuz I stupidly format my ssd). The video is not attached. What would really help for starters is a Speccy system snapshot since you say you can get the system to boot. Here are the instructions:Using Piriform’s Speccy to Collect Your Computer’s Hardware & Software Specifications1.

Go to the and download the program.2. Run the installer you’ve just downloaded, and when you reach the end, uncheck the View Release Notes checkbox, then activate the Run Speccy button. You will be presented the Speccy Main Window:3. From the File Menu, activate the “Publish Snapshot” item (or press ALT+F,U):4. You will now be presented with the Publish Snapshot Dialog:You will, of course, activate the Yes button.5. Finally, you will be presented with the Snapshot URL Dialog:on which you will activate the Copy to Clipboard button so that you will have the snapshot web address to paste into your message.

On the lower left side you will see Repair your computer.Choose the repair option. You will have several options including:Refresh Your ComputerRestore Your ComputerAdvanced OptionsChoose Advanced Options.Launch the command promptEnter the following commands one at a time hitting Enter after each command.bootrec /scanosbootrec /rebuildbcdbootrec /fixmbrbootrec /fixbootReboot computer after the final command finishes. I did as you said. Everything worked well until I got to bootrec /fixboot. I got element not found.I then rebooted the computer and got to the Windows Setup screen. So should I just install Windows 10 again? Going through the steps it did find Windows on c. So maybe if I reinstall Windows 10 I will be OK. If I am not mistaken most of the stuff I care about is in the cloud and I can reinstall all the other stuff - but it is a real pain in the ass.Has Microsoft come up with a simple solution since this seems to be a common problem? If you don't have 2 computers you are screwed in trying to fix it.

Doing this on a smartphone would be really hard. I am posting this from what used to be a very expensive door stop.I took the chance and went ahead with an installation from the Windows 10 installation disc I downloaded. When I started it asked me for the Key code. I entered the only code I had - the one for Windows 7.

Of course it said it was not valid. There was a button that said skip - I skipped.A message came up that said take out the disc I had and reboot. I followed that direction and it rebooted normally. So my doorstop is now a computer again.Thank all of you that make such a GREAT website possible. There is no one better in the world!!!!!
